Isadore "Izzy" Ollar

Isadore “Izzy” Ollar, 75, of Alsace Township, passed away on Thursday, January 24, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Born November 24, 1943 in Rehrersburg, PA, he was the son of the late Bertha E. (Reber) and Isadore Olar. He and his wife of 30 years, Connie E. (Stoppard) Ollar, joined their lives together on February 27, 1989 in Oley, PA.

Izzy owned and operated Izzy Ollar Trucking, for over 30 years. He was a member of Pike Township Sportmans Association and the Gablesville Athletic Association. He attended the Tulpehocken Schools.

Izzy Ollar Loved to Hollar, but he also loved farming, trucking and especially spending time with his family and his best furry friend, Booger.

In addition to the love of his life, Connie, Izzy is survived by his three children, Gloria (Ollar) Faust, Leesport, Isadore Ollar Jr., Oley and Audrey (Ollar) Hetrick, wife of Allen Hetrick, Oley. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Christopher, Michael, Justin, Julie, Christine and Lillian, his great-grandchildren, Austin, Hailey, Cheyenne, Cody, Jackson, Charlee and Amelia and by his siblings, Michael Hlavaty, husband of Sandy Hlavaty, Bernville, Landis Olar, Newmanstown and Darlene (Ollar) Moser, Richland.

Along with his parents, Izzy was preceded in death by his brother, Eugene Olar.

Funeral Services for Izzy will be held on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at 11:00 am at Walbert Funeral Home & Cremation Services, PC, 14390 Kutztown Road (Rt 222), Fleetwood with the Rev. Gary J. Dierolf, officiating. Burial will follow in Berks County Memorial Gardens, Fleetwood.

Viewings for Izzy will be held on Monday evening, January 28, 2019 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm and again on Tuesday morning, January 29, 2019 from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the funeral home.
