Nancy A. Bender

Nancy A. (Hoffmaster) Bender, 81, of Kutztown, passed away on Thursday, August, 2, 2018 at her home.

Born August 2, 1937 in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Carrie (Wolf) Hoffmaster. Her husband of 30 years, Edward Bender, passed away in 2011.

Nancy was a housekeeper most of her life. She also spent time working as a waitress, a nurses aide and at Deysher Knitting Mills.

Nancy attended Kutztown Area High School. She loved to read and enjoyed crossword puzzles, interior decorating and antique collecting. Nancy was also a very good golfer.

Nancy is survived by her three children, Lori A. Kieffer, Kutztown, Micah C. Kieffer, husband of Cheryl A.R. (Ryder) Kieffer, Greenfield, MA, and Jesse R. Kieffer, husband of Julie (Burmeister) Kieffer, Peyton, CO and by her four grandchildren, Hannah, Elsa, Alexander and Nathaniel.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her siblings, Richard, Kathleen, Russell, Doyle, Dallas, Peggy, Sandra and Robert.

Arrangements for Nancy will be private.
