Mrs. Arlene F. (Dobos) Stadalnik

Arlene Mary Frances Dobos Stadalnik was born on June 5th, 1945, in Donora, Pa.. She passed away peacefully on Monday, October 26, 2026, at the Keystone Villa of Fleetwood, Blandon, Pa. where she lived for 4 1/2 years.

She was proceeded in death by her Catholic pen pal who became her beloved husband, William J Stadalnik, of 25 years (deceased 2021) along with her parents John (deceased 1995) and Frances (deceased 2019) Dobos.

Arlene dedicated her early life to the Catholic Church and became a sister of the incarnate word in Parma, Ohio in 1960. She taught Catholic School in Parma Ohio and Waco, Texas before becoming Principal and later mother superior. She served two terms in that position until 1990, before leaving the convent in order to care for her father until his death in 1995. She worked in Retail in Lehigh & Berks County as a second career.

Arlene and Bill presided in Berks County for many years, where they met good friends & neighbors. They were very active members of St. Mary's Catholic church community.

She is survived by her sister, Susanne, and her brother-in-law Peter Bugjo (Kansas) as well as her brother John Dobos and Anastasia Sturm-Dobos, Coopersburg, Pa. She also has several nieces and nephews, whom she loved and adored.

She will be remembered, especially for her kindness, guidance, and patient beautiful spirit. She enjoyed gardening, baking, reading and helping others.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated for Arlene on Thursday, November 5, 2026, at 10:30 am at Saint Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 14833 Kutztown Road, Kutztown, with Rev. John C. Maria, as celebrant. Friends and family are invited for a visitation from 10:00 am until time of mass at the church. Burial will take place with her husband, William, in St. John Neumann Cemetery.
