Carl O. Sielaff

Carl O. Sielaff, 75, of Bethlehem, passed away on Sunday evening, August 30, 2026, at Bethlehem North Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Bethlehem.

Born February 26, 1951, in San Francisco, CA, Carl was the son of the late Barbara A. (Ashley) and Richard W. Sielaff. He and his wife of 31 years, Heidi E. (Bates) Sielaff, were married on June 23, 1995.

Carl graduated from high school in Naperville, IL, and went on to receive his bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin, and his master's degree in meteorology from Oregon State University.

Carl taught in Wisconsin for several years and later worked at Cedarbrook Nursing Home, Allentown, in maintenance and data entry. Throughout his life, when he wasn't working, Carl truly loved studying the weather and hiking.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Heidi, are his stepchildren, Josh Reichard, and Jeremy Reichard, his 4 step-grandchildren, his sister, Ellen S. (Sielaff) Ives, wife of Robert W. Ives, Vancouver, WA, his nephews, Jeff Ives, husband of Katy Ives, David Ives and his partner, Alyssa, and Colton Ives, husband of Evelyn Ives, and by his great-niece and great-nephews, Ronen, Cora and Arden.

Services for Carl will be held privately by his family.
