Carol K. Mogel

Carol K. (Krecker) Mogel, 93, of Macungie, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2026 at Legend of Allentown.

Born May 10, 1932 in York, PA, Carol was the daughter of the late Joseph and Grace (Drake) Krecker.

Carol was a 1949 graduate of William Penn High School in Harrisburg, PA. She went on to receive her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Albright College in 1955. Carol worked as a nurse at Reading Hospital and the Macungie Medical Center before taking a position as school nurse at East Penn School District. Carol served as school nurse for 29 years, beginning in the elementary school, moving on to the middle school and then spending the last 14 years working as the school nurse at the high school. Carol also served as president of the Key Club at the school.

Carol was a board member for the Central Oaks Heights Association and was in charge of the association swimming pool for 15 years. She truly enjoyed walking, reading, and watching sports, especially basketball and soccer.

Carol is survived by her children, Keith J. Mogel, husband of Brenda Mogel, Lynn M. (Mogel) Yanders, Hermitage, PA, and Craig C. Mogel, husband of Karen A. Mogel, Macungie. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Andrew C. Yanders, husband of Nathalie Yanders, Eric J. Yanders, husband of Ashleigh Yanders, Chelsea L. Trump-Toye, wife of Justin Toye, and by five other grandchildren.

Along with her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her two brothers, Bruce Krecker and Baird Krecker.

Services for Carol will be held privately by her family.
