Charles J. Egan, 79, of Schnecksville, passed away suddenly on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at his home.
Born January 6, 1939 in Allentown, he was the son of the late Eva (Hoffman) and John J. Egan. His wife, Carol A. Gardner-Egan, passed away on June 4, 2017.
Charlie was a longtime employee of Food Fair and Pantry Pride, Allentown and Weinstein's Supply, Allentown. He was a member of the Teamsters, the Mercantile Club, Emmaus and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. He attended Allen High School and loved fishing and antique cars.
Charlie served his country honorably and faithfully in the United States Army. He was stationed in Korea during the late 1960's.
Charlie is survived by his daughter, Terry L. (Egan) Hannis, wife of Michael S. Hannis, Santa Rosa, CA, his grandchildren, Tyler M. Hannis, fiancee of Lauren Murphy, Martinez, CA, Cory M. Hannis, South Lake Tahoe, CA and Molly C. Hannis, Knoxville, TN, his sisters, Patricia J. (Egan) Bennett, Allentown and Janet (Egan) Frassetto, wife of Henry Frassetto, Endwell, NY, his nephews, James G. Bennett, husband of Sherry Bennett, Allentown and Mark Frassetto, Endwell, NY, and his niece, Patricia A. Egan, Allentown.
In addition to his parents, Charlie was preceded in death by his brother, Francis J. Egan.
Funeral Services for Charlie will be private.
