Claudio Carlo Olivieri

Claudio Carlo Olivieri, 87, from Florence, Italy, currently residing in Kutztown, passed away on Friday, January 23, 2026 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, PA.

Born December 7, 1938 in Florence, Italy, Claudio was the son of the late Lina Casini and Dante Olivieri. He and his wife of 53 years, Lyda E. "Bunny" Pearson, were married in Florence on December 20, 1972.

Born during the second world war, Claudio was taken by his relatives into the mountains to be safe until the war was over. He returned for the balance of his childhood, graduating high school in Florence. Claudio went on to own and operate Tuscan Trading Co. s.r.l., an international trading company for furniture and furniture accessories.

Claudio descended from a long line of avid mountain climbers and truly enjoyed his time with nature. He loved the mountains, taking care of flowers in his gardens, and spending time watching birds. He also loved to watch soccer, cheering on his favorite Italian football club, ACF Fiorentina, and keep up with current events by reading Italian newspapers. Claudio was associated with Lamborghini and Alfa Romeo and was a formula one racing enthusiast.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Lyda, are his son, Gaddo A. Olivieri, husband of Fatima Hassan, Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, his sister, Carla Emanuela Olivieri, wife of Ing.Guido Gualtieri, Milan, Italy, his niece Lina Gualtieri, and his nephew, Guglielmo Gualtieri.

Services for Claudio will be held privately by his family.
