Connor J. Koontz

Connor J. Koontz, 18, of Fleetwood, passed away suddenly, on Monday morning, April 20, 2026, at Reading Hospital, West Reading, PA.

Born March 23, 2008, in Allentown, PA, Connor was the son of Steven J. and Michelle A. (Baus) Koontz. Connor and his girlfriend, Kyana Dorestan, were together for five years.

Connor was a senior at Fleetwood Area High School. He was accepted at Bloomsburg University for the Fall of 2026 to study Exercise Science. Connor was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Mertztown, and had worked at Bell Ace Hardware, Trexlertown.

Connor loved sports. He enjoyed watching sports and playing sports with his friends, loved working out at Tri-Valley YMCA, Fleetwood, where he was a member and loved the NBA, NFL and professional soccer. Connor cared deeply about the environment and lived his life in ways to try to better his life and the lives of others, and to take care of the environment. Most of all, Connor enjoyed spending time with his friends, his family, and his girlfriend, Kyana.

Surviving in addition to Connor's parents, Steven and Michelle, and his girlfriend, Kyana, are his maternal grandfather, Donald R. Baus, Allentown, his paternal grandparents, Suzanne M. (Samson) Siddons, wife of Joseph Siddons, Myrtle Beach, SC, his aunts and uncles, Melissa M. Tyson, widow of J.J. Tyson and companion of Kevin P. Gruber, Hamburg, Britni Albright, wife of Kyle Albright, Bethel, Kimberly Meitzler, Macungie, Luke Hertzog, Bernville, and Sean D. Koontz, his cousins, Billy, Shelby, Ethan, Corbin, Landon, and Parker, and by his favorite doggy, Ripley.

Services for Connor will begin on Friday evening, April 24, 2026, with a viewing from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Walbert Funeral Home & Crematory, 14390 Kutztown Road, Fleetwood, PA.

Connor's funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at 10:00 am at St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Mertztown, 50 Luther Drive, Mertztown, with the Rev. Dr. Jeremiah Sassaman, officiating. Friends and relatives may arrive at the church from 9:00 am to 10:00 am Saturday.

Connor's family asks that anyone attending his viewing on Friday evening or his services on Saturday morning, please wear your favorite sports jersey in honor of Connor.

For those who wish to send flowers, the family respectfully requests that you choose to send planters so that the flowers can be planted and continue to enhance the environment which Connor would love.
