Darwin F. Border

Darwin F. Border, 79, of Fleetwood, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at Penn State Health, St. Joseph Medical Center, Bern Township, PA.

Born September 29, 1946, in West Reading, Darwin was the son of the late Franklin K. and Luella (Reed) Border.

Darwin served his country honorably and faithfully as a Specialist 4 in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

Darwin was a 1964 graduate of Muhlenberg High School and went on to receive his degree in electrical technology from the Wyomissing Polytechnic Institute. Darwin worked for 35 years for Carpenter Technology as an industrial electrician. Darwin was a member of Becker's St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Molltown, and truly enjoyed hunting, fishing, arrowhead hunting and foraging for morel mushrooms.

Darwin is survived by his two sons, Joshua L. Border, husband of Jaime L. Baver, Fleetwood, and Ezra D. Border, husband of Carrie A. (Tosh) Border, Fleetwood. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Collin J. Border, Noelle K. Border, Ashley O. Border, and Autumn N. Border, by his great-grandson, Bryson, by his sisters, Lucille Sauer, wife of Richard Sauer, Darlene Hardy, wife of Wayne Hardy, and Janice Hardy, and by many nieces and nephews.

Services for Darwin will be held privately by his family.
