Mrs. Dorothea S. (Souder) Stoltzfus, 69, of Exeter Township, passed away at her home, surrounded by her loving family, on Thursday evening, July 2, 2026.
Born December 10, 1956, in Bradenton, Florida, Dottie was the daughter of the late Levi K. and Ethel K. (Good) Souder. She and her husband of 33 years, Howard L. Stoltzfus, were married in the Oley Valley on April 10, 1993.
Dottie was a 1974 graduate of Southeast High School, Bradenton, FL, and went on to receive her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and her Master's Degree in Education from the Florida State University.
Dottie was a professional musician, playing the viola for various symphonies across eastern Pennsylvania. She also co-owned Elm Ford Farm, Exeter, with her husband, and was the benefit manager for Howard L. Stoltzfus Construction. Dottie had also served as the Associate Dean of Students for Elon University, Elon, North Carolina.
Dottie's life revolved around her music. She truly loved playing the viola and sharing her gifts with those around her. She also enjoyed hiking, traveling, reading and spending time outdoors.
Surviving in addition to her husband, Howard, are her two children, Sara Kate Stoltzfus, Exeter Township, and Grant Henry Stoltzfus, Exeter Township, her brothers and sisters, Judy Elaine Souder, Virginia Teel and her husband, Brian Teel, Dennis Souder and his wife, Yvonne Souder, Bonnie Billingsley and her husband, Randy Billingsley, and Lorraine Bernhardt and her husband, Timothy Bernhardt, and by her many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life for Dottie will be scheduled for August. Burial will take place on the family farm.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Dottie's memory to Hope Lodge, 110 W. Laurel Ave, Cheltenham, PA 19012.
