Mrs. Dorothy E. (Hertzog) Keiser

Mrs. Dorothy E. (Hertzog) Keiser, 92, of Kutztown, passed away, surrounded by her loving family, on Monday, September 1, 2025 at Willow Brook Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Kutztown.

Born March 16, 1933 in Rockland Township, Dorothy was the daughter of the late George Hertzog and Blanche (Eckert) Hertzog-Day. Her husband of 45 years, Carl Keiser, passed away in 2000.

Dorothy was a seamstress working for General Seating, Topton, where she sewed bus and train seats. She also did sewing for Royal Manufacturing, Alburtis, Fleetwood Shirt Factory, and Mahoning Mills, Kutztown. She also spent time working in the laundry department at the Comfort Inn, Fogelsville.

Dorothy was a member of New Jerusalem UCC Church, and truly enjoyed playing bingo, watching her game shows on TV and spending time with her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren.

Dorothy is survived by her five children, Steven C. Keiser, husband of Deborah (Bogert) Keiser, Port St. Lucie, FL, Terry L. Keiser, husband of Ronda K. Peterson-Keiser, New Tripoli, Sandra A. (Keiser) Jarrett, wife of Randall G. Jarrett, Mertztown, Ricky A. Keiser, husband of Connie (Jones) Ream, Macungie, and Donna J. (Keiser) Steffy, widow of Derrin B. Steffy, Blandon. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Ryan & Michele Keiser, Stephanie & Ryan Blake, Jennifer & Troy Snyder, Bradley Keiser, and Amanda and Austin Rigby, her great-grandchildren, Tiernan, Rhiannon, Claire, Nathan, Heidi, Aubrey, Adalynn, and Kennedy, step-grandchildren, April & Jon Snyder, Gregory & Julieanne Ream, and by her step-great-grandchildren, Jackson, Daniel and Addison.

Along with her husband, mother and father, Dorothy was preceded in death by her grandson, Nicholas Keiser, her step-father, Lester Day, her sisters, Mary Werley and Shirley Steffy, and her brothers, Lee Hertzog and George Hertzog.

Private graveside services and burial for Dorothy will be held at New Jerusalem Union Cemetery, Fleetwood, PA.
