Frank R. Wagner, Jr., 75, of Exeter Township, passed away, surrounded by his loving family, on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at Tower Health, Reading Hospital, West Reading, PA.
Born August 3, 1946 in Reading, he was the son of the late Betty J. (Bush) and Frank R. Wagner Sr. He and the love of his life, his wife of nearly 55 years, Sun P. (Kang) Wagner, were married on August 28, 1967 in Seoul, Korea.
Frank served his country honorably and faithfully as a Sergeant in the United States Army. He was a 1964 graduate of Reading High School and received his bachelor's degree from Alvernia University.
Frank worked for many years in the insurance industry. He worked in marketing for Aetna and went on to be a Vice President at Cigna Insurance and also for Fireman's Fund Insurance Company. Frank's final position was with Westfield Insurance where he was head of the underwriting.
Frank was a longtime member of Exeter Bible Church where he sang in the choir as well as singing as a soloist. He also worked with the Billy Graham Crusades and was instrumental in the Citizens for Decency Through Law. He loved exercising, singing and most of all, spending time with his kids and grandkids.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Sun, are his three children, In Ok Jang, wife of Chang G. Jang, Mt. Penn, Frank R. Wagner, III, Exeter Township and Michael P. Wagner, husband of Brandy S. (Cardell) Wagner, Blandon. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Alex, David, Christian, Rachel, Daniel and Jonah, by his great-granddaughter, Nova and by one great-grandchild on the way.
