George D. Tomco

George "Babe" D. Tomco of Newmanstown, PA was called home by his Lord and Savior on Monday, April 20, 2026, with his loving family by his side.

George was the husband of Bonnie Sue (Edgar) Tomco, and they shared 46 wonderful years together. Born on September 20, 1941, George was the son of the late George and Jennie (Stewart) Tomco.

Originally from Osceola Mills, PA, George moved to Lebanon county when he was 17 years old. George worked at Bethlehem Steel, Cleaver-Brooks, and Herr Industrial as a steel fabricator. He completed courses at the Jerry Falwell Liberty Christian University.

George was baptized into the Baptist faith in 1977. He was a lifelong fan of the Penn State Nittany Lions and Philadelphia Eagles. In addition to being an air hockey champion, George enjoyed the simple things in life, such as watching old movies, puttering around the house, and spending time with his devoted wife. He loved spending time with his family and being nostalgic with them. George's keen sense of humor will be missed most.

George's family would like to thank Wellspan Hospice for the wonderful care he received.

Along with his wife, Bonnie Sue, George is survived by daughters, Rebecca Lamont of Pottstown, Kera Haag, wife of Dean Haag, of Bethel, and Ayesha Rittle, of Perkiomenville. He is also survived by sister Nancy Weatherholtz, nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

George was predeceased by his parents, brother Fred Tomco, sister Janet Dixon, and daughter Dawn Lamont.

Private Graveside services and burial will take place in Mount Lebanon Cemetery, Lebanon, PA.
