Jane L. (Sunday) Treichler, 86, of Greenwich Twp, passed away on Friday morning, February 3, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born July 25, 1930 in Greenwich Twp, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Lillie (Schappell) Sunday. She and her husband of 65 years, Feryl J. Treichler, were married at Dunkels Church on July 21, 1951.

Jane was a wonderful homemaker and was especially known for her baking. Her specialty, among others, was making fasnachts. She also enjoyed canning and quilting and especially playing Haas and Peffer with Feryl and their friends. Jane had also worked for over 15 years at the restaurant at the Leesport Auction. Jane and Feryl were awarded a Young Farmers Regional Award in 1969. Jane was active with the Reading Fair for over 40 years, having worked on jellies and jams in the canned goods area. She and her family were named the Reading Fair Farm Family in 1975 and she also won the Reading Fair's Best in Show for her Homemade Dandelion Wine.

Jane was an active member of the Virginville Grange for over 70 years and served as a lecturer. In 2010, she was named the Virginville Granger of the Year. She was a member of Zion Moselem Lutheran Church, Kutztown, and a 1948 graduate of Kutztown Area High School.

Surviving in addition to her husband, Feryl, are her two sons, Keith J. Treichler, husband of Suzanne (Moyer) Treichler, Richmond Twp, and Rodney J. Treichler, husband of Lonna A. (Pearson) Treichler, Richmond Twp. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Brandon K. Treichler, companion of Sarah Giebel, Canyon, TX, Brett J. Treichler, husband of Laura Treichler, Richmond Twp, Brittni (Treichler) Harris, wife of Cody Harris, Blandon, Melissa M. (Treichler) Quigley, wife of Robert Quigley, Collegeville and Jared A. Treichler, husband of Cynthia Treichler, Woodbridge, VA, her great grandchildren, Trevor, Tyler and Ava, and by her sister, Hattie Rentschler, Hamburg and her twin sister, Jean Wetzel, Kutztown.

Along with her parents, Jane was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters.

Funeral Services for Jane will be held on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at 11:00 am at Walbert Funeral Home & Cremation Services, PC, 14390 Kutztown Rd, Fleetwood. Burial will follow in Zion Moselem Church Cemetery, Richmond Twp. Viewings will be held Tuesday evening, February 7, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and again on Wednesday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the funeral home.
