Mrs. Janice M. (Lesher) Hassler

Mrs. Janice M. (Lesher) Hassler, 77, of Kutztown, passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, PA.

Born September 9, 1947 in Virginville, Janice was the daughter of the late George and Gladys (Kilmer) Lesher. She and her husband of 58 years, Jay E. Hassler, were married on April 8, 1967 at Zion Moselem Lutheran Church, Richmond Township, PA.

Janice worked as a nurses aide at the Lutheran Home at Topton for 26 years retiring in 2009. She was a member of Zion Moselem Lutheran Church where she was active with the ladies group knitting caps and blankets for hospitals and others in need. She was a 1965 graduate of Fleetwood Area High School and attended Kutztown University. She truly enjoyed knitting and doing jigsaw puzzles.

Surviving in addition to her husband, Jay, are her children Bryan J. Hassler, husband of Jessica L. (Keller) Hassler, Topton, and Michael S. Hassler, Longswamp Township, her grandchildren, Stephanie M. Hassler, wife of Kyle Bush, Bethlehem, and Dennis B. Hassler, husband of Chantal (Gambler) Hassler, Macungie. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Landon, Hunter and Danielle, and by her brother, Ernest Lesher, husband of Dana Lesher, Palmyra, PA.

Services for Janice will be held privately by her family.
