Mrs. Jean C. (Wildrick) Heinrich

Mrs. Jean C. (Wildrick) Heinrich, 92, of Bern Twp, passed away on Friday, December 3, 2021, at Berks Heim, Bern Township, PA.

Born March 9, 1929 in East Stroudsburg, she was the daughter of the late Walter G. and Lura M. (DePuy) Wildrick. Her husband of 42 years, Albert E. Heinrich, passed away in 1990.

Jean worked as a nurse for many years. She worked for Community General Hospital for 15 years as an RN and also worked for Hawthorne Nursing Home. Jean went on to work as the school nurse at Oley Valley Elementary School for 23 years.

Jean was a former member of Christ Lutheran Church, Spangsville and Valley Fellowship Church, Oley. She also was a past member of the National Education Association, the Pennsylvania State Education Association and the Boyertown/Oley Retiree Association. She graduated from Stroudsburg High School in 1946, Reading Hospital School of Nursing in 1950 and received her bachelor's in nursing from East Stroudsburg University in 1978.

Jean is survived by her two children, Susan L. (Heinrich) Heck, wife of Richard E. Heck, Millsboro, DE, and Brian J. Heinrich, husband of Tracy A. (Knorr) Heinrich, Fleetwood. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Andrew, Megan, Andrea, Keith and April, and by her great-grandchildren, Riley, Lily and Aidan.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, David A. Heinrich and her brother, Robert Wildrick.

Memorial Services for Jean will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at 2:00 pm at Walbert Funeral Home & Cremation Services, PC, 14390 Kutztown, Rd, Fleetwood. A Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2021 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
