Mrs. JoAnne L. (Zentner) Sunday

JoAnne L. (Zentner) Sunday, 74, of Bowers, passed away suddenly on Monday evening, December 27, 2021 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, PA.

Born August 17, 1947 in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Welton and Beatrice (Hieter) Zentner. She and her husband of 56 years, Robert E. Sunday, were married on March 6, 1965 in Trinity Lutheran Church, Topton.

JoAnne was a 1965 graduate of Brandywine Heights High School and went on to attend beauty school. She owned and operated her own shop, JoAnne's Beauty Salon, in Bowers for 15 years. JoAnne also worked for 27 years in the main office at East Penn Manufacturing Co., Inc., Lyon Station, retiring in 2010.

JoAnne was a member of the Horace M. Kieffer, American Legion Post 625, Fleetwood, the Kutztown Rod and Gun Club, and the Lyons Fire Company. She enjoyed shopping and sewing, but most of all, spending time with and caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Robert, JoAnne is survived by her four children, Kim L. (Sunday) Rhoads, wife of Maurie D. Rhoads, Fleetwood, Todd R. Sunday, Dauphin, PA, Travis E. Sunday, husband of Sally A. (Kasting) Sunday, Bernville, and Kelly M. (Sunday) Rosa, wife of Luis A. Rosa, Fleetwood. She is also survived by her grandchildren, William, Ashley, Alexis, Dylan, Holden, Ember, Antonio and Jasmyn, and by her great-grandsons, Gavin, Karson and Jaxson.

Memorial Services for JoAnne will be held on Sunday, January 2, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Walbert Funeral Home & Cremation Services, PC, 14390 Kutztown Rd, Fleetwood. A visitation will be held for JoAnne on Sunday, from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
