Jonathan A. Miksch, 49, of Nazareth, passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2026 in Blandon, PA.

Born May 25, 1977 in Allentown, Jonathan was the son of Barry C. Miksch, Nazareth, and the late Vickie L. DeLuca.

Jonathan loved Halloween and took great joy in bringing the holiday to life through elaborate decorating. Over the years, he amassed an impressive collection of Halloween decorations and memorabilia and shared his creativity by decorating businesses and coordinating events through The Haunted Forestry Service, the name he gave to his work. His talents even found their way into film, earning him a place in the ending credits and an IMDb page.

He was creative, known to himself and others, as the Artist and the Engineer, Jonathan channeled the traits of his parents using Mom's artistry and creative skills and Dad's analytical and mechanical ability to plan and design some of his greatest projects.

Jonathan spent time as a model for Marlboro cigarettes. He had a great time going to different events as "The Marlboro Man." Jonathan worked for several years in the railroad industry. His interests and intellect were wide-ranging. He loved animals, science fiction, trains, cars, and was an impressive cook. Jonathan was fascinated with space and space shuttles. He excelled in math and physics and studied engineering at Lincoln Technical Institute and Northampton Community College.

In addition to his father, Jonathan is survived by his sisters and brother, Kimberly Dulick, fiancée of Don Newlin, Fleetwood, Jillian A. (Miksch) Reifinger, widow of Brad Reifinger, Emmaus, Wade J. DeLuca, Blandon, and Victoria J. DeLuca, partner of Seth S. DeLong, West Lawn. He is also survived by his precious niece, Saffirin.

Graveside Services for Jonathan will be held on Friday, August 28, 2026 at 2:00 pm at Greenwood Cemetery, 200 W. High Street, Nazareth.
