Mrs. Mildred Eva (Smith) Schadler, 87, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday evening, June 4, 2026, at Willow Brook Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Kutztown.
Born July 22, 1938, in Breinigsville, she was the daughter of the late Eva (Adam) and Raymond Smith, Sr. Her husband, Jackie C. Schadler, Sr., passed away on October 30, 2019.
Mildred owned and operated Schadler's Towing, Lyons, along with her husband, Jackie, for over 30 years.
Mildred loved playing bingo, doing her word search books and building puzzles during her time at the home. Mildred enjoyed going to amusement parks with her grandkids, going to the casinos, attending county fairs, taking long car rides and just spending time with her loved ones.
Mildred is survived by her children, Terry R. Schadler, husband of Sandie Davis Parker Schadler, Ocala, FL, Barry N. Schadler, husband of Darlene M. (Blessing) Schadler, Lyons, Cindy L. (Schadler) Keiser, Mertztown, Ronnie L. Schadler, husband of Deborah A. (Brooks) Schadler, Fleetwood, Larry A. Schadler, husband of Heather M. (Horbaczek) Schadler, Leesport, her grandchildren, Donna, Stacey, Jared, Lindsey, Megan, Jessica and Brandy, her great-grandchildren, Joshua, Zachary, Palmer, Hudson, Autumn, Izaac, Sophie and Sutton, and by her brothers, Roland Smith, husband of Rebecca Smith, Shoemakersville, Raymond Smith Jr., husband of Linda Smith, New Smithville, and Russell Smith, Mertztown.
Along with her parents and her husband, Jackie, Mildred was preceded in death by her son, Jackie Schadler, Jr., her daughter, Linda Schadler, her grandson, Kerry Schadler, and by her sisters, Mabel Kohler and Margaret Wehr.
Funeral Services for Mildred will be held on Friday, June 12, 2026 at 11:00 am at Walbert Funeral Home & Crematory, 14390 Kutztown Rd, Fleetwood, with Rev. Gary L. Walbert, officiating. Burial will follow in Zion Moselem Church Cemetery, Richmond Township.
A viewing for Mildred will be held on Friday, June 12, 2026 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the funeral home.
