Nancy J. Lively

Nancy J. (Heckman) Lively, 62, of Reading, passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Penn State Health St. Joseph.

Born July 30, 1954 in West Reading, she was the daughter of the late Mary J. (Blandford) and Elmer L. Heckman Sr. Her husband of 27 years, Richard M. Lively, passed away on November 23, 2016.

Nancy had worked at the Downtown Market and also was a babysitter. She was a graduate of Reading High School and a member of the Hampden Mennonite Church, Reading. One of her favorite hobbies was collecting dolls.

Nancy is survived by her children, William D. Lively, Daniel T. Lively and Shelby R. Lively, all of Reading. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters, Elmer L. Heckman, Jr., Laurel, DE, Margaret M.E. (Heckman) Zimmerman, wife of Ira F. "Bud" Zimmerman, Fleetwood, Arthur W. Heckman, husband of Janet Heckman, Shillington, and Frances R. (Heckman) Miller, Reading.

In addition to her husband and her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her son, Timothy M. Lively in 2013, her daughter, Amanda J. Lively in 1989 and her sister, Martha Brendel.

A Memorial Service for Nancy will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at 11:00 am at Hampden Mennonite Church, 1228 Windsor St., Reading, PA.
