Paul A. Yeager

Paul A. Yeager, 87, of Ruscombmanor Township, passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Born January 12, 1930 in Robesonia, Paul was the son of the late Paul S. and Carrie E. (Schaeffer) Yeager. He and his wife, Pearl A. (Walmer) Yeager, celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on December 28, 2016. They were married on December 28, 1946 in Schaefferstown, PA.

Paul was the head of maintenance at St. Michael's Convent, Hyde Park, having worked there for over 40 years. He loved tinkering with projects and especially woodworking. He was an accomplished craftsman, having built the family home.

In addition to his wife, Pearl, Paul is survived by his daughter, Deborah L. (Yeager) Weidner, wife of Robert S. Weidner, Rockland Township, his granddaughter, Judy L. (Manwiller) Palamar, wife of Kevin M. Palamar, Upper Macungie Township and his great grandsons Bryan D. Palamar and Jason M. Palamar. He is also survived by his brother Richard J. Yeager, husband of Carole L. (Burkert) Yeager, Fleetwood and his sister, Betty A. (Yeager) Hoffman, wife of Richard Hoffman, Alsace Township.

Along with his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his daughter, Sandra L. (Yeager) Manwiller, his brother John Yeager and his sister, Pauline Bender.

Funeral Services for Paul will be held on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at 11:00 am at Walbert Funeral Home & Cremation Services, PC, 14390 Kutztown Rd, Fleetwood, with the Rev. Donald C. Simmons officiating. Burial will follow in Altalaha Lutheran Church Cemetery, Rehrersburg, PA. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the funeral home.
