Richard K. Hoffa Sr.

Richard K. Hoffa, Sr, 69, of Exeter Township, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, at Reading Hospital, West Reading, PA.

Born June 20, 1957, in Reading, PA, Rick was the son of the late Harry H. K. and Irene M. (Check) Hoffa. 

Rick was a 1975 graduate of Reading High School. He went on to serve his country honorably and faithfully in the United States Army.

Rick worked as a welder for Dana Corporation for 22 years. He also worked as a machine operator for Carpenter Technology, Reading, for 15 years, retiring in 2022. Rick was a huge Philly sports fan, a true 4 for 4 guy, and also enjoyed golfing, gardening, riding his motorcycle and especially spending time with his grandchildren.

Rick is survived by his daughter, Kelly L. (Hoffa) Tyrrell, wife of Robert M. Tyrrell, Blandon, his son, Richard K. Hoffa, Jr., Exeter Township, his grandchildren, Bryson and Aubry, the mother of his children, Gina L. Ricchuiti, by his brothers, Greg Hoffa, husband of Annmarie Hoffa, Exeter Township, Harry Hoffa, husband of Cindy Hoffa, Bernville, and Bob Hoffa, husband of Debra Hoffa, Lebanon, and by his many nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, Rick was preceded in death by his daughter, Lauren M. (Hoffa) Hinman, and by his sister, Jackie (Hoffa) Salem.

Funeral Services for Rick will be held on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, at 11:00 am at Walbert Funeral Home & Crematory, 14390 Kutztown Rd, Fleetwood, with Rev. Allen J. Hoffa, officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township. 

A viewing for Rick will be held on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the funeral home.
