Richard F. Laudenslager, Jr., 78, of Whitehall, passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at Cedar Crest Post Acute, Allentown, PA.
Born October 14, 1947, in Drexel Hill, PA, he was the son of the late Paula E. (Erdos) and Richard F. Laudenslager, Sr.
Richard was a 1965 graduate of William Allen High School and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Lycoming College in 1969. Richard started his own business, FRL Lawn Service, when he was 13 years old. He went on to own and operate Laudenslager Excavating and RFL Construction. Richard truly enjoyed sailing, wood crafting, riding motorcycles and painting artwork.
Richard is survived by his three children, Chip Roper, husband of Audrey Roper, Long Island City, NY, Virginia Ellen, wife of Nolan LeBlanc, Allentown, and Andrew Lauden, husband of Trisha Lauden, Saucon Valley. He is also survived by his seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, his sister, Karen S. McDermott, wife of Jack Mermott, his brothers, Jeffrey Laudenslager, husband of Natalie Laudenslager, and Ricky Laudenslager, husband of Carol Laudenslager, and by several nieces and nephews.
Services for Richard will be held privately.
