Richard C.G. Weida, 60, of Kutztown, passed away on Wednesday morning, August 19, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Born September 3, 1959 in Allentown, he was the son of the late Stanley P. and Mary Alice (Stitzel) Weida.
Richard was a graduate of Kutztown High School where he was a member of the track team. He worked for many years as a maintenance worker at various facilities including Good Shepherd Rehabilition Hospital and Penrose Management in Allentown. He also owned and operated his own business, Handyman Services by Richard Weida.
Richard was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Kutztown and loved fishing, cooking and especially the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Richard is survived by his son, Brendon T. Weida, husband of Staci L. (Giacomini) Weida, Blandon, his sisters, Linda L. (Weida) Merkel, wife of Thomas Merkel, Reading and Marjorie A. Weida, Fleetwood, his brothers, Jeffrey P. Weida, husband of Caroll (Weller) Weida, Fleetwood and Glenn S. Weida, husband of Janie (Conrad) Weida, Virginville and by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Graveside services will be held for Richard on Thursday, August 27, 2020 at 11:00 am at Berks County Memorial Gardens, 201 Evansville Road, Fleetwood, with the Rev. Gary J. Dierolf officiating.
