Robert J. Kopicz, 80, of Mohrsville, passed away on Monday, October 5, 2026, at Penn State Health, St. Joseph Medical Center, Bern Township, PA.
Born October 13, 1945, in Norfolk, VA, Robert was the son of the late Harry J. and Elsie (Moyer) Kopicz. He and his wife, Denise L. (Rothermel) Kopicz, were married on May 30, 1992.
Robert was a Lance Corporal in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War.
Robert worked in delivery and sales of baked goods for Rentschler's Bakery before his retirement. He was a member of St. Matthew's Greek Orthodox Church, Blandon, and the Disabled American Veterans. He attended Central Catholic High School in Reading, and also studied accounting. He truly enjoyed shooting pool, bowling, horseshoes, golf and riding his Harley.
In addition to his wife, Denise, he is survived by his six children, Robert J. Kopicz, Jr., Timothy S. Kopicz, Paul H. Kopicz, Todd A. Kopicz, Christopher E. Kopicz, and Melissa M. Kopicz. He is also survived by his 8 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and brothers and sisters, Michael Kopicz, Charles Kopicz, Andrea Calibeo, Annette Kopicz, and Anthony Kopicz.
Along with his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his grandson, Daniel Kopicz, his brothers, Ronald Kopicz and Edward Kopicz, and by his sister, Michelle Kopicz.
Funeral Services for Robert will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at 11:00 am at Walbert Funeral Home & Crematory, 14390 Kutztown Rd, Fleetwood, PA. Burial will follow in Becker's St. Peter's Cemetery, Molltown.
A viewing for Robert will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the funeral home.
Donations can be made in Robert's memory to St. Matthew's Greek Orthodox Church, 8477 Allentown Pike, Blandon, PA 19510.
