Robert M. Love

Robert M. Love, 83, of Upper Macungie Township, passed away on Friday, August 21, 2026.

Born January 6, 1943, in Bellevue, PA, Robert was the son of the late Andrew M. Love and Rae E. (Heine) Love Hollbrook. The love of his life, his wife of 56 years, Barbara J. (Iskra) Love, passed away on November 3, 2025.

Robert served his country honorably and faithfully as a member of the United States Army.

Robert was a 1958 graduate of Avalon High School, Avalon, PA, and went on to receive his Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Husbandry from Delaware Valley College in 1964. Robert worked first for Acme in Philadelphia, before serving in the Army. When he returned from the Army, he spent over 30 years working for the United States Department of Agriculture as a meat inspector.

Robert was the longest-standing member of the Church on the Hill, Kutztown, where he served on the board for many years. He was always active in church, especially helping to build the sets for the annual Christmas plays and loved reading his bible.

Robert lived his life with a servant's heart. He loved talking with people and helping those in need, whether taking them to church or to doctor's appointments or even just inviting them into his home for meal and visiting. Robert loved to exercise and often would be found working and tinkering on his property at home. He enjoyed spending time at home with his family playing croquet, badminton, and volleyball. He also enjoyed taking the apples from the trees on the property and together with his family, making homemade apple cider.

Robert is survived by his children, Kelly M. Love, husband of Dawn L. (Caliman) Love, Maxatawny Township, Kasey M. Love, husband of Janice (Fetterman) Love, Kutztown, Jennifer J. (Love) Keers, wife of Jesse Keers, Georgetown, GA, Katy J. (Love) Clausen, wife of Andrew W. Clausen, Providence Village, TX, Becky J. (Love) Haney, wife of Jon Haney, Orefield, and Korry M. Love, husband of Bethany (Pinto) Love, Zionsville.

Robert is also survived by his grandchildren, Erica, Rachel, Kiehl, Josh, David, Courtney, Haley, Ben, Noah, Morgan, Alyssa, Sarah, Josh, Jake, Jack, T.J., Briana, Nora, Dylan, Tyler, Kyle, Emma and Levi, his sister, Carol (Love) Jenkins, wife of Richard "Dick" Jenkins, Amissville, VA and by many nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, and his wife, Barb, Robert was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia (Love) Berger.

Services for Robert will be held privately by his family.
