Robert N. Malmquist

Robert N. Malmquist, 78, of Fleetwood, passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at Penn State Health, St. Joseph Medical Center, Reading, PA.

Born November 8, 1946 in Orange, New Jersey, Robert was the son of the late Henry & Margit (Wennersterand) Malmquist. He and his wife of 28 years, Gloria L. (Talmadge) Malmquist, were married on October 6, 1996 in Fleetwood.

Robert served his country honorably and faithfully as Staff Sergeant in the United States Army for over 20 years.

Robert worked in human resources for the engineering department and administration for the State of New Jersey.

Robert was a 1964 graduate of Morristown High School, Morristown, NJ and also attended Newark State Teachers College.

In addition to his wife, Gloria, Robert is survived by his children, Paul E. Malmquist, husband of Kimberly (Degan) Malmquist, Souderton, and Karen L. (Malmquist) Fleming, wife of Bobby Fleming, Friendsville, TN, his step-children, Christian M. Hoffman, husband of Carey Hoffman, Bolton, MA, and Eric R. Hoffman, Laconia, NH, and by his grandchildren, Megan, Allison, Alan, Allison, Kathryn, Daeron, Tenzin, and Isobel.

Along with his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his sister, Annagreta Ball, and his brothers, Henry Malmquist and John Malmquist.

Services for Robert will be held privately by his family.
