Ronald R. Moyer

Ronald R. Moyer, 85, of Laureldale, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday, June 28, 2023.

Born October 28, 1937 in Blandon, Ron was the son of the late Solomon Moyer and Dorothy (Goodman) Harner. He and the love of his life, his wife of 64 years, Diane J. (Conrad) Moyer, were married on January 31, 1959 in Blandon.

Ron was a machinist having worked for Trim Master Machine Shop, Temple, General Battery Corporation, Laureldale, and Rusco Hydraulics, Muhlenberg Township, where he worked for over 20 years as branch manager.

Ron was a member of Fleetwood Bible Church where he was a listener for the Awana club. He attended Fleetwood Area School District and truly loved playing softball, reading, hiking, watching movies and spending time with his best furry friend, his doggy Anna Belle.

In addition to his wife, Diane, Ron is survived by his two sons, Michael A. Moyer, husband of Cindy L. (Longenbach) Moyer, Catasauqua, and David E. Moyer, husband of Michele (Plaugher) Moyer, Corvallis, Oregon. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jeremy and his wife, Diana, Ty, and Miranda, his great-grandchildren, Vincent and Liliana, and by his brother, Kenneth Moyer, husband of Evelyn Moyer, Reading.

Along with his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his sister, Beverly Kauffman, and his brothers, Terry Harner and Larry Harner.

Graveside Funeral Services for Ron will be held on Friday, July 7, 2023 at 11:00 am at Laureldale Cemetery, 4631 Pottsville Pike, Reading, PA with Pastor Nathanael Naugle officiating.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Ron's honor to Fleetwood Bible Church, 2847 Moselem Springs Rd, Fleetwood, PA 19522.
