Ronald W. Adams

Ronald W. Adams, 83, of Shoemakersville, passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2022 at Tower Health, Reading Hospital, West Reading, PA.

Born January 2, 1939, in Reading, he was the son of the late William C. and Alice (Schaeffer) Adams. He and his wife of 61 years, Elizabeth C. Bucks-Adams, were married on June 24, 1961, in St. John's Gernant's Church, Leesport.

Ronald was born and raised on the family farm and spent most of his life farming. He also worked at Quaker Maid Kitchens, Muhlenberg Township. Ronald was a member of St. John's Gernant's Church, Leesport and a 1957 graduate of Schuylkill Valley High School. He loved gardening, plants, birds, chickens, and especially spending time with his family.

In addition to his wife, Elizabeth, Ronald is survived by his daughters, Gretchen E. Adams, companion of David L. LeKites, Wyomissing, Lorrie C. Weinhold, wife of Martin K. Weinhold, Fleetwood, Erica B. Grumbine, wife of Clark A. Grumbine, Jonestown, Heather A. Gladwell, Jonestown and Tabitha A. Crockett, companion of David A. Kehm, Shoemakersville. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Ryan, Brandon, Catherine, Kyle, Joey, Christopher, Mckenzie and Julia, his great-grandchildren, Lily, Parker, Cooper, Noah and Isaiah, and by his siblings, Russell E. Adams, husband of Marlene Adams, Leesport, Ruth A. Adams, Temple, Robert L. Adams, husband of Sandy Adams, Bern Township, Rosemary Heffner, Bally and Rita Adams, Lincoln Park, New Jersey.

A Celebration of Life Luncheon will be held on Friday, October 14, 2022, at 12:30 pm at St. John's Gernant's Church, Lower Level, 13 Gernant's Church Road, Leesport. Burial will be held privately in St. John's Gernant's Cemetery, Leesport.
