Ruth A. Kadlec

Ruth A. (Pearce) Kadlec, 87, of Oley, passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at Reading Hospital, West Reading, PA.

Born June 1, 1939, in Ardsley, New York, Ruth was the daughter of the late Edward and Frances (Reithenbach) Pearce.

Ruth was a 1957 graduate of Ardsley High School. She worked as a receptionist for Lee's Hair Expressions and Barbey Electronics. Ruth also worked in the accounting department at Boscov's Department Stores. She truly enjoyed gardening, reading, cooking and going to the theatre.

Ruth is survived by her daughter, Lisa A. Kadlec, Kingston, PA, her grandsons, Sean and his girlfriend, Veronica, and Derek and his wife, Maggie, by her great-grandchildren, Killian, Liam, Leila and Iris, and by her sister, Laura McCormick, New Milford, CT.

Along with her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her son, Richard A. Kadlec, Jr., and by her sister, Doris, and her three brothers, Ralph, Dick and Raymond.

Services for Ruth will be held privately by her family.
