Mrs. Ruth M. (Rumfelt) Pletz

Mrs. Ruth M. (Rumfelt) Pletz, 88, of Mohrsville, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at her home on Tuesday, April 7, 2026.

Born April 22, 1937, in Stribling, TN, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Maggie (Stavely) Rumfelt. Her husband, Charles W. Pletz, Jr., passed away on October 10, 2020.

Ruth worked as an agent for Mason-Dixon Lines as well as for Candyland Express. She was a member of Glad Tidings Church, West Lawn, and the Red Hat Society, among other women's groups. Ruth loved her Longaberger baskets, going out to eat and shopping with the ladies, and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren.

Ruth is survived by her three children, Laurel A. "Sonny" Rusk, III, husband of Deborah L. (Hawk) Rusk, Myrtle Beach, SC, Michael L. Rusk, husband of Debra (Dunkelberger) Rusk, Myrtle Beach, and Patricia Jo (Rusk) Hickernell, widow of Scott Hickernell, Wernersville. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.

Along with her parents, and her husband, Charles, Ruth was preceded in death by her brother Charles Rumfelt, and her sister, Margie Lea West.

Services for Ruth will be held privately by her family.
