Sara Elizabeth Gummo

Sara Elizabeth Gummo, 33, of Fleetwood, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, on Monday, July 10, 2023.

Born May 3, 1990, in West Reading, she was the daughter of Todd R. "TR" and Jean L. (Skagen) Gummo, Fleetwood.

Sara helped at Hannah's Hope Ministries, Reading. Sara graduated in 2008 as Valedictorian of Brandywine Heights High School. She went on to graduate in 2012 from Temple University with her bachelor's degree in art history. Following Temple, she received her master's degree in theology from the Evangelical Seminary of Myerstown and was currently completing her doctorate in theology, also at the Evangelical Seminary of Myerstown.

Sara was a member of Fleetwood Bible Church where she volunteered mentoring youth. She truly enjoyed the theatre, especially musicals, reading and art. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Surviving in addition to her parents, are her sisters, Jennifer J. (Maurer) Yellets, wife of Josh Yellets, Blandon, and Danielle M. (Maurer) Venanzi, wife of Michael Venanzi, Nazareth, her brother, Joshua T. Gummo, husband of Mila (Abril) Gummo, Bethlehem Township, her niece and nephews, Dylan, Makayla, Everett, Evan and Cole, her paternal grandfather, Richard Gummo, Jersey Shore, PA, and by several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Services for Sara will be held privately by her family. A Celebration of Life to be held at Fleetwood Bible Church will be announced at a later date.
