Shirley A. Berger

Shirley A. (Hamm) Berger, 78, of Fleetwood, passed away on Friday evening, Dec 4, 2015 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born on June 1, 1937 in Weisenberg Twp, she was the daughter of the late Clifford and Minerva (Held) Hamm. She and her husband of 52 years, Luther S. Berger, were married on Sept. 7, 1963 at Ziegels Church in Breiningsville.

Shirley had worked as an office administrator at Allen Organ, Macungie. She was a 1955 graduate of Kutztown High School and truly enjoyed flowers, gardening, cooking, baking and putting together puzzles.

In addition to her husband, Luther, Shirley is survived by her sons, Dennis B., husband of Lori A. (Mills) Berger, Stewartstown and Dean A., husband of Diane L. (Kurtz) Berger, Fleetwood, and her grandchildren, Kimberly, Tonya, Lauren and Daryl.

Funeral Services for Shirley will be held on Tuesday, Dec 8, at 11 am at Walbert Funeral Home & Cremation Services, PC, 14390 Kutztown Rd, Fleetwood. A viewing will be held Tuesday from 10-11 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Kutztown.
