Timothy G. Dietrich Sr., 60, of Allentown, passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2017.
Born March 31, 1957 in Maxatawny Twp, he was the son of Doris M. (Sherry) and Walter S. Dietrich Jr., Maxatawny Township.
Tim served his country honorably and faithfully as a Sergeant Major in the United States Army Reserves. During the 22 years he served, Tim was a supervisor of the United States Army Funeral Honors Team, Willow Grove and was a senior instructor in his field.
Tim spent over 20 years as a diesel mechanic. He worked for J.P. Mascaro, Allentown, The Hub Cap Store, Easton, Horwith Trucks, Northampton, Custom Diesel, Allentown and Hauser Truck Service, Allentown. He had also worked for Northampton County Prison, the State Correctional Institution, Waymart, PA, Easton Finishing Works and East Penn Manufacturing, Co., Inc.
Tim was a 1975 graduate of Kutztown Area High School. He also received certification in electronics from a vocational/technical school as well as attending the US Army Sergeant Major's Academy, Ft. Bliss, Texas.
Tim was active in the Boy Scouts in Kutztown for many years. He was an Eagle Scout and a Scout Master.
Surviving in addition to Tim's parents are his daughter, Jennifer A. (Dietrich) Musser, wife of Blane A. Musser, Topton, his grandchildren, Madison, Andrew and Bradley and his sister, Tammy L. (Dietrich) Gilfert, Blandon.
Tim was preceded in death by his son, Timothy G. Dietrich, Jr. on April 7, 2013 and his brother Jeffrey A. Dietrich on July 10, 2015.
Funeral services for Tim will be private. Burial will take place in Zion Union Cemetery, Maxatawny Township.
