Alfred G. Bonnici Obituary

Alfred G. Bonnici, 84, of White Haven, formerly of Bethlehem, passed away on Thursday, September 28, 2023, at Allied Hospice, Wilkes-Barre, PA.

Born February 11, 1939 in Malta, he was the son of the late Elvira (Schembri) and Paul Bonnici. His wife, Myrna (Michelson) Bonnici, passed away on July 23, 2009.

Al served his country honorably and faithfully as a member of the United States Army from 1959 to 1965.

Al was a regional leader for Primerica, for many years. He also worked as the business manager for 13 years for Volunteers of America Children's Center, Allentown. Al was a 1956 graduate of Evander Childs High School, Bronx, NY and attended CCNY, New York, for 2 years. He was a past member of the Knights of Columbus, Allentown, and truly loved watching TV, computers, and especially, spending time with his grandchildren.

Al is survived by his three children, Elaina J. (Bonnici) Elmore, wife of David L. Elmore, White Haven, Mark S. Bonnici, husband of Michele R. (Morgan) Bonnici, Grove City, and Paul C. Bonnici, Bethlehem. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Amanda, Jared, Spencer, Joshua, Ashlynn, and Joshua, and by his sisters, Elsie Spiteri, Lina Seraceno, and Violet Mamo, all of Dearborn Heights, Michigan, and Frances DalMolin, Queens, NY.

In addition to his parents, and his wife, Myrna, Al was preceded in death by his sister, Evelyn Mamo.

Funeral Services for Al will be held on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at 11:00 am at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1335 Old Carriage Rd, Northampton, PA. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park, Allentown.

Viewings for Al will be held on Tuesday evening, October 3, 2023 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and again on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 from 10:00 to 11:00 am, both at the church.
