Andrew Lupo

Andrew Lupo, 74, of Topton, passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at the Lutheran Home of Topton.

Born July 19, 1946 in Coney Island, NY, he was the son of the late Josie (Granata) and Tony Lupo.  He and his wife of 33 years, June E. (Moore) Lupo, were married on October 17, 1987 in Huntington Valley, PA.

Andrew served his country honorably and faithfully as a Specialist in the United States Army having been awarded the Bronze Star for his service during the Vietnam War.

Andrew worked for many years in Manhattan.  He was an accountant for Ernst & Young, and also served as Director of Operations for Fiorucci and Perry Ellis.  Andrew finished his career working in advertising alongside his wife, June, for 15 years.

Andrew was a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans, a member of the American Legion, Ray A. Master Post #217, Topton, PA, participated with the Wounded Warrior Project and was a former member of the Lions Club. He graduated from Xaverian High School, Brooklyn, NY and St.John’s University.  He enjoyed discussing politics and especially loved the New York Yankees.

Surviving in addition to his wife, June, are his children, Eponine M. Lupo, Cherry Hill, NJ, Anthony R. Lupo, husband of Rebecca L. (Cucchi) Lupo, Topton, Andrew O. Lupo, Missoula, MT and Rachel A. Lupo, Buckeye, Arizona.  He is also survived by his granddaughter, Ella Noel Lupo, his brother, Ciro Lupo, husband of Dr. Helen Murphy, Scotch Plains, NJ, his Uncle Angelo Granata, his Aunt Rosie DeCrescenzo and many nephews and cousins.

Funeral Services for Andrew will be Private.

Burial with full military honors will take place at a later date at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Andrew’s memory to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675-8516 or to the Lutheran Home at Topton, Diakon Lutheran Social Ministries, One S. Home Ave, Topton, PA 19562.
