Obituary

Dennis L. Bryant, 73, of Mertztown, passed away on Sunday evening, December 6, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Born December 30, 1946 in Kutztown, he was the son of the late Lee and Pauline (Derr) Bryant. He and his wife of 52 years, Leona M. (Burkert) Bryant, were married on December 30, 1967 in Stony Run, PA.

Dennis served his country honorably and faithfully in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

Dennis worked for 40 years for Electro Space Fabricators, Topton, in the machine shop. He attended Kutztown Area High School and loved fishing, hunting, reading and going to Indian Pow Wows.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Leona, is his son, Dwayne D. Bryant, husband of Linda D. (LaFaver) Bryant, Kutztown, his grandchildren, Amanda, Kevin and his wife, Karyn, Matthew and his wife, Rebecca, Becky, and Keith and his fiancée Shallyn, and by his ten great-grandchildren. Dennis is also survived by his sister, Jean Matthew, widow of Sam Matthew, Leesport, and by his brothers, Steve Bryant, husband of June Bryant, Allentown and Allen Bryant, companion of Kay, Shoemakersville.

A viewing for Dennis will be held on Friday evening, December 11, 2020 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Walbert Funeral Home & Cremation Services, PC, 14390 Kutztown Rd, Fleetwood.

Private funeral services will be held followed by burial in Hope Cemetery, Kutztown.
