Dennis L. Shade

Dennis L. Shade, 76, of Boyertown, passed away on Friday evening, January 8, 2021 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.

Born October 22, 1944 in Boyertown, he was the son of the late George F. and Catherine (Moyer) Shade. He and the love of his life, his wife, Sandra L. (Christman) Shade, were married on March 20, 1965.

Dennis worked at Uniform Tubes, Collegeville, for over 35 years. He also worked at Campbells Manufacturing, Boyertown. He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Boyertown and a 1962 graduate of Boyertown High School.

Dennis enjoyed golf, bowling, baseball, and horse racing, but most of all, loved spending time with his family.

Surviving in addition to his wife, Sandra, are his children, Tony L. Shade, Boyertown and Tammy L. Shade, Boyertown, his granddaughters, Alyssa A. Hedrick, partner of Morgan G. Davidheiser, Boyertown, Jordan L. (Shade) Hess, wife of Alvin M. Hess, Boyertown and Erica L. Shade and her boyfriend, Matthew R. Salvetti, Boyertown, his great-granddaughters, Layla and Harper, and by his three siblings, Patricia and her husband, Dennis, Alan and his wife, Debbie and Vicki.

Along with his parents, Dennis was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters.

A viewing will be held for Dennis on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Walbert Funeral Home & Cremation Services, PC, 14390 Kutztown Rd, Fleetwood, PA. Private Graveside Services followed by burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park, Pottstown.
