Jackie R. Rothermel

Jackie R. Rothermel, 89, of Fleetwood, passed away on Friday, July 15, 2022 at Mifflin Court, Shillington, PA.

Born January 31, 1933 in Reading, he was the son of the late Lulu (Kline) and Clarence Rothermel. His wife of 66 years, Jean S. (Miller) Rothermel, passed away on August 18, 2020.

Jackie served his country honorably and faithfully as a member of the United States Army during the Korean War.

Jackie worked for 35 years for Dana Corporation as a press operator. He was a member of Walnuttown Fish and Game and truly enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Jackie is survived by his three children, Rick R. Rothermel, husband of Allison R. (Trawick) Rothermel, Novi, MI, Jeffrey S. Rothermel, husband of Denise M. (Derr) Rothermel, Fleetwood, and Robin M. Rothermel, Blandon. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Zachary, Jacob and Josh, his two great-granddaughters and his brothers, Randall Rothermel, widower of Joan Rothermel, Fleetwood, Phillip Rothermel, husband of Elva Rothermel, Fleetwood, Lester Kemmerer, husband of Linette Kemmerer, Mertztown, Ronald Kemmerer, widower of Gloria Kemmerer, Blandon, Donald Kemmerer, husband of Diane Kemmerer, Reading, and Richard Kemmerer, husband of Tracey Kemmerer, Fleetwood, PA.

Along with his parents and his wife, Jean, Jackie was preceded in death by his brother, Samuel Kemmerer and his sister, Janice Kintz.

Graveside Services for Jackie will be held on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at 4:00 pm at Becker's St. Peter's Church Cemetery, 267 Maidencreek Road, Fleetwood, PA.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Jackie's memory to Becker's St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 267 Maidencreek Rd, Fleetwood, PA 19522.
