Jeffrey A. George, 60, of Mertztown, passed away suddenly on Saturday morning, November 20, 2021 at his home.
Born August 22, 1961 in Allentown, he was the son of the late Marian A. (Keim) and Carl H. George.
Jeffrey was currently working as an Area Manager for UGI Heating and Cooling, where he has worked for over 37 years. Jeff served as an officer and member of the City of Reading Heating Board, and was active at the Berks Career and Technology Center where he was a member of the Occupational Advisory and also served as a member and treasurer of the HVAC Apprenticeship Advisory Committee. Jeff was a 1979 graduate of Brandywine Area High School and went on to receive his bachelor's degree from DeSales University.
Jeff was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, the Berks Area Mountain Biking Association (BAMBA), the Berks County Bicycle Club (BCBC), and the Pagoda Pacers. Jeff loved bicycling, skiing, hiking, kayaking and working outdoors doing gardening and yard work.
Jeff is survived by his longtime companion, Elizabeth A. Glass, his sister, Michele E. (George) DeLong, wife of Dwayne D. DeLong, Tioga, PA, cousins, Teena Moyer and Andy George, his brother-in-laws, Forrest W. Glass, husband of Eileen (Karabinos) Glass, Wyomissing, and David N. Glass, husband of Mary C. (Leahey) Glass, Sinking Spring, his nieces and nephews, Elise, Andrew, Eric, Lauren and Ryan and by several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Memorial Services for Jeff will be held on Friday, November 26, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Walbert Funeral Home & Cremation Services, PC, 14390 Kutztown Road, Fleetwood, PA. A visitation will be held Friday from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the funeral home.
Burial will be held privately by the family in Dunkel's Church Cemetery, Kutztown, PA.
