Obituary
Marianne E. (Gottschalk) Lewry, 97, of Blandon, formerly of Staten Island, New York, passed away on Wednesday evening, January 4, 2023 at her home.
Born November 24, 1925 in Oppeln, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Reinhold K. and Elizabeth (Dunkel) Gottschalk.
Marianne worked for S. Stern Brokerage, New York City, NY, for over 25 years. She worked as a switchboard operator and later a telephone operator while also handling clerical duties.
Marianne graduated from high school in Germany and loved sewing. Most of all, she truly loved raising and spending time with her family.
Marianne is survived by her three children, Garry D. Lewry, and his wife, Tok-Cha, Universal City, TX, Pamela C. (Lewry) Brezi, and her husband Thomas, Woodbridge, NJ, and Reinhold C. Lewry, Blandon. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Christina Bailey and her husband, Drew, Caroline Lewry and Brandon Brezi, and by her great-granddaughter, Abigail.
Along with her parents, Marianne was preceded in death by her sister, Hanna, and her brothers, Heintz, Hans and Fritzel.
Services for Marianne will be held privately.
