Michael N. Blankenship

Michael N. Blankenship, 62, of Shillington, passed away on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at Tower Health, Reading Hospital, West Reading, PA.

Born October 5, 1960, in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Jimmie and Janet (Campbell) Blankenship.

Michael was a maintenance technician with Rawden Joint Ventures, Lititz, for the past 13 years. He also owned and operated Blankenship Communication and Contracting. Michael was a 1979 graduate of Kenwood High School, Baltimore, and loved his pond and koi fish, riding motorcycle, going to the beach and traveling.

Michael is survived by his fiancée, Tracy L. Nigrelli, Shillington, his two daughters, Megan A. (Blankenship) Hepler, Ashland, and Erin L. (Blankenship) Cohick, wife of Larry P. Cohick, Mertztown, his stepdaughters, Samantha J. Nigrelli, Millsboro, DE and Taylor L. Nigrelli, Sinking Spring, his grandchildren, Benjamin C. Cohick, Jesse J. Cohick, Brianna N. Cohick, and Saxon J. Hepler, his step-grandchildren, Lucas D. Wargo and Mason A. Wargo. He is also survived by his great-grandson, Braxton C. Cohick, his brother, Gregory Blankenship, husband of Karen Blankenship, Eastern Shore, MD, and his sister, Cynthia Attanasio, wife of Ronald Attanasio, Fallston, MD.

Along with his parents, Michael was preceded in death by his daughter, Christine Blankenship, and his brother, Randall Blankenship.

Funeral Services for Michael will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2023, at 12:00 Noon, at Walbert Funeral Home & Crematory, 14390 Kutztown Road, Fleetwood. A viewing will be held for Michael on Saturday from 10:00 am until time of services at the funeral home.
