Olga Marina Barillas, 92, of Richmond Township, passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at Penn State Health, St. Joseph Medical Center, Bern Township, PA.
Born July 7, 1931, in Guatemala, she was the daughter of the late Celia Barillas.
Olga was a strong, caring, hard working woman of deep faith who dedicated her life to her children, family and friends. She attended St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, Reading, and was a past member of her beloved St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, Great Neck, NY for decades. Besides being a talented seamstress, Olga was also a highly creative person who enjoyed expressing herself artistically through her love of sewing, embroidery, making dresses and other articles of clothing for her family & friends, and in her later years, making unique dolls for her grandchildren.
Through her generosity & kindness, she touched the lives of people that extended well beyond her immediate family and friends. A true matriarch, her life serves as an enduring legacy and an inspiration to us all for generations to come.
Olga is survived by her two children, Olga Lily Ayala, Fleetwood, and Fredy Solis Barillas, husband of Randi H. (Robbins) Solis, Lloyd Harbor, NY, her eight grandchildren, her 12 great-grandchildren, and her two great-great-grandchildren.
Along with her mother, Olga was preceded in death by her daughter, Rosario DeLeon Ayala.
