Ralph M. Bard Jr.

Ralph M. Bard, Jr., 88, of Kutztown, passed away on Friday, August 26, 2022 at Willow Brook Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center, Kutztown.

Born August 31, 1933 in Kutztown, he was the son of the late Ruth (Emsing) and Ralph M. Bard Sr.

Ralph served his country honorably and faithfully in the United States Army during the Korean War.

Ralph worked at Gilbert Associates, Reading, as a draftsman for many years. He also owned and operated Trexler Records, Kutztown for over 13 years. Ralph spent time as a newspaper carrier for the Reading Eagle and even travelled to the Joe Stripps School of Baseball in Florida to try out for major league baseball.

Ralph was a graduate of Kutztown Area High School and truly enjoyed music, especially jazz, playing baseball and fly fishing.

Ralph is survived by his son, Matthew J. Bard, husband of Denise A. (Hinkle) Bard, Fleetwood, his step-grandson, Brayden C. Seroka, his brother, Henry Bard, Kutztown and by his sister, Carol (Bard) Heinly, Kutztown.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at 10:30 am at Fairview Cemetery, Kutztown.
