Robert A. Boyer

Robert A. Boyer, 94, of Blandon, passed away, surrounded by his loving family, on Friday, December 22, 2023, in Kutztown, PA.

Born April 5, 1929, in Fleetwood, Robert was the son of the late Minnie (Hess) and Lloyd Boyer.

Bob served his country honorably and faithfully as a Sergeant in the United States Army during the World War II.

After returning from his service in World War II, Bob and his brother, Earl, they opened and operated the Boyer Brothers Service Station and Studebaker dealership in Richmond Township. He also was a bus driver for Bieber Bus, Kutztown, for 31 years and was a supervisor in the garage at Kutztown University for 20 years.

Bob was a member of Becker's St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Molltown, and the Horace M. Kieffer, American Legion Post 625, Fleetwood. He was a member of the class of 1946 of Kutztown Area High School and truly was a workaholic.

Bob is survived his four daughters, Sallie Schaeffer, wife of Howard Schaeffer, Aubrey, TX, Dawn Stewart, wife of Brian Stewart, Fleetwood, Beverly Deitz, wife of Harry Deitz, Reading, and Denise Stauffer, Temple, and by his companion Loraine Croll. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Steven Schaeffer, Andrea Homan and her husband, Todd, Demi McMullen and her husband, Dan, and Jennifer Matten and her husband, Rhett, and by his great-grandchildren, Brandon Schaeffer, Joshua Schaeffer, Ryan Homan, Luke Homan and Scarlet Matten.

Along with his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his brother, Earl Boyer.

Funeral Services for Bob will be held on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at 11:00 am at Walbert Funeral Home & Crematory, 14390 Kutztown Rd, Fleetwood. Burial will follow in Becker's St. Peter's Cemetery Molltown. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the funeral home.
