Russel R. Snyder

Russel R. Snyder, 84, of Topton, passed away on Sunday, March 7, 2021 in the Lehigh Valley Hospice Unit, Allentown, PA.

Born June 22, 1936 in Allentown, PA, he was the son of the late Harry E. and Emma (Wahl) Snyder. He was the widow of Betty M. (Bartholomew) Snyder, who passed away in 2006, after 49 years of marriage.

Russ served his country honorably and faithfully as a member of the United States Marine Corps.

Russ worked for Owens Corning Fiberglass, Emmaus, the Emmaus Foundry, Small Castings, Inc., Bechtelsville, Bethlehem Steel and for Volney Felt Company, Emmaus. He loved hunting, fishing, bingo, horses and raising bunnies.

Russ is survived by his children, Rose M. (Snyder) Brown, wife of David C. Brown, Shoemakersville, Richard H. Snyder, widower of Mary (Kindig) Snyder, Myrtle Beach, SC and Brenda L. (Snyder) Dautrich, wife of John W. Dautrich, Orwigsburg. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Sandy and her husband, Paul, Richard Jr. and his wife, Melissa, Cheryl and her husband, Ryan, and Bradley and his wife, Tracey.

Along with his parents and his wife, Betty, Russ was preceded in death by his grandson, Nicholas L. Levan.

Services for Russ will be private. Burial will take place in Zions Evangelical Lutheran Church Cemetery, Old Zionsville.
