Thelma M. (Lust) Thomas

December 18, 1946 — October 23, 2023

Thelma M. (Lust) Thomas, 76, of Blandon, passed away, surrounded by her loving family, on Monday, October 23, 2023, at Tower Health, Reading Hospital, West Reading, PA.

Born December 18, 1946, in Oneida, New York, she was the daughter of the late Clyde E. Lust Sr., and Rosalie E. (Hayes) and Lawrence H. Eddy. She was the widow of Benjamin F. Thomas, who passed away in 2000.

Thelma graduated from Chittenango High School, Chittenango, New York. She had worked as a supervisor at Threshold Rehab, Reading, was a retail manager for Family Dollar for many years, and owned and operated her antique shop, The Old Curiosity Shoppe, Blandon.

Thelma was a loving mother and grandmother to the best of her abilities, in spite of the hand she had been delt. She recently shared with her family the memories of her happy childhood with her brothers, sisters, and friends. Later in life, she really enjoyed spending time at the races at Action Track USA, Kutztown. Most of all, she loved her auctions. She was the best at the hassling, haggling, buying, and selling of her ever so priceless antiques. She truly cherished the loving friends and characters she has gotten to know and love over her many years of auctioning.

Thelma is survived by her four children, Melanie L. Rose, Oley, Wade C. Rose, Apache Junction, Arizona, Douglas R. Rose, husband of Brittany T. (Abbott) Rose, Lewes, Delaware, and Daniel H. Rose, husband of Kristin M. (Boyer) Rose, Mohrsville. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Owen, Chase, Brady and Deegan, her sister, Rosalie J. King, widow of Jerry King, Hawaii, her brother, Ernest S. Lust, widower of Charlotte Lust, Canastota, New York, and her lifelong companion, Michael G. Mowers, Oneida, New York.

Along with her parents, her stepfather and her husband, Thelma was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Robert, Doris, Clyde Jr., Mike and Marlene.
