Mrs. Catherine (Gulden) Runkle

Mrs. Catherine (Gulden) Runkle, 49, of Lebanon, formerly of Lenhartsville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday morning, August 28, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.

Born April 23, 1973 in Coaldale, PA, she was the daughter of the late Anna M. (Bushick) and Donald J. Gulden. She and the love of her life, her husband, Keith J. Runkle, were married on November 12, 2005 at the Heidelberg Country Club.

Cathy was a 1991 graduate of Tamaqua High School. She went on to study business at Lehigh County Community College where she earned her associates degree. Cathy finished her education at Alvernia University where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems.

Cathy was a gentle soul with an amazing and bright smile that would light up any room she entered. She spent eight years as office manager at Luxor Homes before joining the staff in the office at the Borough of Kutztown for seven years. Cathy's last position was at Walbert Funeral Home & Crematory where she was not only a receptionist but became a friend and shoulder for many families to lean on. Cathy enjoyed golfing, exercising, running, travel, crocheting and knitting. She truly was a special woman who will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Surviving in addition to her husband, Keith, are her children, Ian Runkle, Schuylkill Haven, and Brittany L. (Runkle) Russo, wife of Michael Russo, St. Croix. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Mackayla and Alexandra Russo, her sister, Debora A. (Gulden) Digilio, wife of Nicholas C. Digilio, Coaldale, her brother, Joseph D. Gulden, fiancé of Deborah Wall, Barnesville, her niece Danyelle M. Budd, wife of Gerard N. Budd, Coaldale and by her great nephew and great niece, Jenson and Avery Budd.

Along with her parents, Anna and Donald, Cathy was preceded in death by her son, Jared J. Runkle on December 1, 2015, and her brother, Donald Gulden, in infancy.

Visitations for Cathy will be held on Friday evening, September 2, 2022 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm and again on Saturday, September 3, 2022 from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at Walbert Funeral Home & Crematory, 14390 Kuztown Road, Fleetwood, PA.

Funeral services for Cathy will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at 10:30 am at Walbert Funeral Home & Crematory, with Rev. Gary L. Walbert, officiating. Burial will follow in New Bethel Zion Cemetery. Grimville.
